Excellent machine!

Hi,

I bought this as a supplement to my DVD recorder/Freeview box as I wanted to play region 1 DVDs - it worked right out of the box. It is small, slim and quiet.

It's true I don't much like the menu or, in fact, the whole user interface - but that's just me. It's certainly no problem.

The important thing is that it works - and very well indeed.

Great Card, Eventually

Well unlike other reviews I received the correct Sony card supplied with adapter from Digiplay UK in very quick time, Upon using it the camcorder threw up a message that the images may not store correctly. I emailed Digiplay who suggested returning the card, which turned out to be OK but was changed anyway. I received the new one today and everything is now working fine. Still only about ten days from ordering. Well done Digiplay I wish more sellers were this good.

Amazing!

After deciding it was time to delve into the mp3 player market I started looking for mp3 players. Instantly heard bad reviews about ipods and thought they were too much money for what they were.
Decided on this one, it is surprisingly small but yet the screen is big enough to view photos and movies and frankly the spiderman trailer provided on the player shows that this player has great potential (even though i use it just for music and no movies or pictures)

Really easy to transfer music, either drag and drop or just load up media player and let it to the rest!

Sound quality is superb and the supplied headphones are really good (if a bit unconventional). Also some nifty little features such as the time machine shuffle make this player in a league of its own.

Ofcourse all of this for under £100!
Ditch your ipod and creative, get this!!

superb tv for the money

I ordered this TV from Amazon, basing my choice on the reviews here.
I was not dissapointed.
The TV looks good in our living room, and the picture is fantastic.
It did not take very long to set up, about ten minutes, though I am still discovering some of the things that it can do.
The delivery was very quick, and I would reccomend this TV to anyone seeking to upgrade to a LCD TV.

Simple.. but excellent

My mother is a complete technophobe and had used the same polaroid camera for 14 years, which recently broke. I'm a bit of a gadget man myself, so did a few searches and found this little gem on Amazon. I ordered it for her on mother's day (turned up promptly, nicely wrapped by Amazon). I insisted she read the instruction manual and then take some photos of me and my brothers. Within half an hour she was adjusting light/flash/zoom settings and got some awesome snaps. They look simply excellent on my HD laptop screen, much nicer than other horrible compact camera shots you see knocking about. In short, she loves it. For the price, I really don't think you can fault it...

However, it doesn't come with a case and the memory is fairly poor, so you're looking at an extra £20(ish) to get the full benefit from it. I haven't removed a star because of this as this now seems to be the case across the entire electronics industry (same with GPS and iPods etc etc) and therefore not a criticism of this specific product.

To summarise, if you want a highly compact, sub £150, good quality digital camera - look no further. Apologies for the essay by the way!

Just right

I'm very pleased with this camera case; it's lightweight, branded, padded sufficiently and has a small handy pocket.
All I can say is I'm very content with my purchase and would recommend it!

top notch

Read reviews and came to conclusion had to either get the Panasonic or the Sony product. There are a lot of reviews which list technical design ideosyncracies of the Panasonic recorder so opted for the Sony. This machine seems to do everything that anyone would want from it plus answers all those niggles from the Panasonic users.
I found it incredibly easy to set up. Just plugged it in and it did the rest for me. Pausing live broadcasts is brilliant. one button push and it's done.
Viewing what you've recorded is easy peasy it gives you a little thumbnail of what each programme is.
Don't understand the gripes about the manual - I've had more complicated manuals for watches. You can read the whole thing through in half an hour.

Best Peice of kit on the market

I bought one for my self then loads of my mates wanted one for their PSP's. This has become the best investment i have ever made. Mainly because it has also made me a little side money for going to some lengths for getting 1 them too. Great for Sony Ericson phones too. A++++++

Beware: You might think you are buying a genuine Sony product but this sellers warehouse contains genuine producs and"mistakenly packaged items."

We do also sell generic pro duo memory sticks that we import from China. These usually have our own logo on them but our supplier sent our last batch with the Sony logo on both the packaging and the memory sticks themselves. We have told them that we do not want them with the Sony logo as they are in effect counterfeit and misbranded.

We do not however sell these as Sony as this would be wrong.

We are aware that there are some sellers including some well know on-line retailers that do sell these as Sony so it is a case of buyer beware.

As already indidcated, we do of course stock genuine Sony memory media. In your case, because of the Sony branding being on the packaging, we have mis-picked your item during picking & packing instead of sending you genuine Sony.

Great TV, low price!

Like the rest, I bought this TV from a well known supermarket, an offer too good to refuse, £449 for a Sony 32". The set up was easy and only took 5 minutes. The picture and sound are great. Once I connected up my Xbox 360 I was blown away by the quality!

Scanning through the digital channels was not as easy as I would like but this is a small niggle in an otherwise great package.

If you're looking for a great 32" set, give this one some serious thought.

Excellent value for money and excellent tapes

I would never buy any other tapes to go with my sony camcorder these are very good, and i would never go anywhere else to buy them apart from amazon as they are so affordable compared to high street stores, don't let them rip u off buy them from amazon!

Fantastic!

It's coming up to three weeks since this magnificent piece of kit arrived on my doorstep, and I have to say I've loved (almost) every single minute with it. First off, brilliant service from Amazon as ever, not quite so brilliant from City Link but a very helpful depot made up for that. Anyway, on to the TV...

What can I say, it's fabulous. Having seen a lot of 'budget' (no-name) models and been tempted by their apparent value on a variety of occasions, I've got no hesitation saying I won't be tempted again. Why? Because this thing absolutely blows them away. I paid a shade under £540 for this unit, and comparing it to £400 no-name units of the same size is like comparing night and day, the difference is simply enormous. Likewise, making the jump from my flatmate's slightly battered old CRT is beyond words.

Picture-wise, I can't fault it. Comparing it to my parents' 26" previous-generation S-series model, this is at least a match if not better - colours are lifelike, lines are sharp, blacks are deep, etc. Freeview reception is great (though rarely used) and standard definition Sky looks pretty razor-sharp when hooked up with a decent SCART cable (I used a Thor model, also from Amazon; stick B0009E66SW in the search bar). In fact, it really took me by surprise; I was expecting the odd bit of pixelation, but there's none to be found.

Audio-wise, it's standard TV fare; it won't win any awards, but you won't be complaining. I don't really get on with the simulated Dolby, but I can't really fault the BBE ViVA setting.

Input-wise, it's almost all happy days. There's a good selection, and none have disappointed so far (though I haven't used the S-video as yet) bar the VGA port. Generally, it's fine, no quality issues, but it's limited to a resolution of 1280x768. Of course, that's enough to run 720p content at native resolution, but it's not the native resolution of the panel (1360x768) so you do have to stretch the image (via the good OSD) if you want it to fill the screen. Having said that, I'm not entirely sure how but it stretches it perfectly (no typical LCD scaling signatures), although I would like the extra 80 pixels. Of course, most people won't even touch the VGA input, so it's not likely to be a problem (if you can class it as one anyway).

Looks-wise, I like it. It can look a bit 'silver' in bright natural light, but in electric light, and particularly in slightly dimmed conditions, it's stunning. I personally can't stand Samsung's shiny-shiny look, so if you're the same, and looking at the image of this model on your screen going 'that looks OK, nice and simple', you'll love it. Basically, it ain't going to go out of fashion and, when I'm buying a fairly big TV, that's what I want.

In terms of the size of the thing, it really depends on your room. Go to a store to compare sizes; you wouldn't think there was much difference between a 32" and a 37", but when you see them side by side they're worlds apart. However, don't forget that whatever you buy will look a huge amount bigger once you get it in your living room! We simply could not believe the size of the thing when we got it out of the box (which was surprisingly easy, it's pretty light).

Am I pleased with my latest purchase? I don't think I can express in words how happy I am I took the plunge and chucked £540 at something I didn't really need. Every time I look at it, I'm pleased. It's a fantastic product at a brilliant price. Yes, there are cheaper models from different manufacturers, but I'm yet to see a single bad review of this from any customer, and that speaks for itself as far as I'm concerned. If you're in the market for a 37" TV and want quality but don't want to spend a fortune, click that button up there which says 'Add to basket'. You will not regret it.

An absolutely superb piece of equipment

I researched and procrastinated for a very long time before deciding on an LCD TV. I've got a small lounge so was reluctant to buy something so large that it would look out of place in the room. And yet I wanted something HD ready and you can't appreciate HD on small displays. So after going round a showroom viewing a number of TVs, all paths led to this model and the 32S3000. When auditioned side by side, this model blows the other out of the water. Set-up is very simple - ideal for the technically inept and yet the menus allow you to access and fine-tune a wide range of parameters - ideal for the technically skilled.

What does it look like? Well if you're used to CRT's then of course you'll be disappointed - everyone knows the switch from CRT to LCD is a bit of a step down. However the video processing engine inside this model is exemplary and does a great job of putting out a good picture. The often overlooked issue of audio is worth pointing out. It's a Sony. They do audio very well and have done so for decades.

All in, a worthwhile purchase. It's a real case of getting what you pay for and stumping up the extra cost of this model really yields great results. Good stuff.

A Brilliant MP3

A really excellent MP3,easy to use, fantastic sound quality and much more stylish than the i pod in my opinion. The only thing that stops me from giving it 5 stars? Needs a decent priced sony branded docking station for the home, which i guess is partly why the i pod sells so well, as it has a great accessory range. Still despite this i would recommend it to anyone!

Sony..... who decided a 1.5m cable was a good idea???

These earphones sound great and seem high quality with good deep base and great for cancelling out external noise.... look pretty cool too!!
BUT....
I cannot understand why Sony (or somebody at Sony) thought it would be a"good" idea to limit the cable to 0.5m (not long enough) and add a 1m extension cord. To that person all i can say is:

"1.5m IS FAR TOO LONG FOR A CORD YOU ABSOLUTE WALLY!!!"

Seriously.... it is really annoying me!!!

Anyone reading this who is looking for use with an IPod/MP3 player... buy the MDREX32's.... better sound and no stupid cord lengths. I'd gladdly swap my daft ones right now!!!!

Sony Handycam - DVD 110E

This was my first camcorder, and I wanted something that would be easy to use. This fits the bill. Easy operating instructions. Charged the battery and it was ready to go. Good results both indoors and outdoors. The only thing I would coment on is that it does not come with any form of recording media so you will need to purchase some 8cm DVD's and a memeory stick (for the still photos).
The other slight issue is with the software supplied for managing the recordings, its very slow to run.
All in all i am pleased with the results I have got so far.

Ok for standerd bedroom tv

Very good tv i brought this mainly for my playstation 3 also brought hdmi cable with it.
Everything works their are 2 scarts 1 hdmi and pc input even 2 pairs of audio in cable to connect you ipod to it.
This tv has everything and is perfect for a bedroom.
The speakers are very powerful and it does support viva hd and dolby digital hd sound.
I gave this a four as i have to stand up to see it properly as if you are on a lower platform than your tv is it seems to go slightly black the picture does theirfore making it pretty hard to see motorstorm and some dark games.
apart from that i would give it a 5 well done sony!
