Works a treat
This is a very good product, good price, easy to operate and transport around.Good sound and playback. Only critiques is that the recording cannot be transfered onto the computer so will remain on the player, which does put your receordings at risk if you were to lose the player. However there is a large storage capacity so that will not be an issue. Also the battery doesn't last as long as one would like (approx 5-7 1hour lectures)so make sure spare batteries are close at hand, however this will depend on your usage needs.All in all though, I would recommend this product.

Bad product
For a Sony walkman this is a surprisingly bad product. When adding files to the device (via windows) they often become jumpled, folders and files appear in the wrong places and become unmoveable leaving reformatting the only possible solution.It's okay, it plays everything fine from within the device, and sound quality is excellent, just don't make subfolders!

Still had to set it up manually and time keeping is only reasonable for a quartz clock. Sound is a little strangled but OK for a couple of minutes in bed. The two alearm set up is a doddle to use12

I've just sent mine back...
Very disappointed with this Sony MP3 player. I did a lot of research and really thought I'd found the best small MP3 player with FM. But the volume is way too low. Yesterday on the Tube I could hear the music from a guy sitting at the other end of the carriage better than I could hear my own! And the top which covers the USB was too loose, kept falling off. I found Sony's customer service very slow and unhelpful. So I've sent it back and ordered the Sansa Clip instead... Fingers crossed.13

Nice plastic
In case anyone else cares about these little details: I was looking for headphones made of hard plastic, as the soft rubber-like plastic on many modern in-ear headphones irritates me. I wasn't sure what to expect from this product - whether the grey bit that fits in the ear would be hard or soft - but it's hard, with a slightly matte texture. So I was pleased... I'm sure the sound quality is great as well.15

I am using them on my MP4 Samsung YP-Q1 because I left the original headphones. The sound produced by these Sony have little depth and are very low, also missing some bass. I heard the sound almost in the limit to enjoy the music. With the original headphones the sound was much stronger and consistent.
Not a good buy for me.

The quality of the material seems good and are very compact. What the remote control can be used for
I found this product to be not fit for purpose due to the bright display even on its lowest setting and used the remote control to cover the time display which made it an expensive iphone charger with radio. If you awoke in the night it's like a search light hitting you in the face. If you want a clock that dims as the room gets darker this is not for you. Fantastic Sony camcorder
I bought this before Christmas 09 to replace my trusty 10yr old Panasonic which sadly and suddenly failed, despite it having cost a fortune and was classed as state of the art 10 yrs ago!! This Sony is fantastic and far superior. It is very small but has tremendous zoom and is so simple to use. The touch screen controls are so easy. I like the port to charge the camera directly. I loved the automatic switch on and off facility by just opening the screen, although I found it easier to hold the camera using the screen rather than the side gripstrap, as the unit is very small in my beefy mitt. There is no need to press the Easy button on the side - it reduces the picture quality and there is no need to do it anyway. My 4 year old grandson used it straight out of the box.Well done Sony and Amazon - a fantastic purchase.

Sony 4GB Pro Duo Memory Stick
This is the second time I have orderd from this supplier but this time it didn't come in the plastic packenging as shown on the website. It came in an envelope with a tracking sheet and the memory card but no adaptor stick. It said it would take one day to deliver but it took three days. I also noticed that with both memory cards the first memory card came from Tawian with a CE logo stamped on the memory card and my latest memory card from the same supply came from Canada with no CE stamped on the memory card. I'm not saying this is a problem it's just something I noticed.
