All good - easy to set up, easy to use, good enough for what I need - kitchen DAB and ipod dock.

My Review

The product is easy to use and the set up was very easy. The top volume may be a bit low for some. If you need to charge the battery without having a lap top then you will have to buy a separate charger - and the one from Sony isn't cheap

Ok for light exercise but sweat in ears is a real problem

Why is it sports headphones only ever last a few months down the gym before one of the speakers gives out for some reason? Anyway, my latest purchase are these little headphones. Used them today for the first time. During cycling and rotex (say heart rate of about 110 beats per minute), absolutely fine - limited sweating in ears. Very comfortable and good sound quality. Running on the treadmill at 135bpm - a different story - soon the left speaker went completely and I was running with mono music. Nothing I could do to fix this. Having dried out, they are now OK again.

fantastic sounds

Great little music system for the bedroom it arrived in good time well packaged and looks and sounds really good.
It is as other reviews have stated as very bright on the display even on dim setting but it more than makes up for it with weekday settings and weekend settings for the alarms and the music quality and pop out ipod charger are fantastic.

Good radio/alarm

Easy to use, with good quality radio. The only problem so far is that to set the alarm, you have to switch the radio on. Once I've set the alarm and I switch the radio off, the alarm setting gets switched off as well. I've got around this by turning the volume down to silent. When the alarm goes off, the volume stiil gradually builds until switched off. I will contact tech services to see if it's me or a problem with the radio.

rubbish

Bought these in January 2010, the sound is ok but now the left one does work at all after 6 months. I thought they would be reasonably good quality being Sony and mid price range but unfortunately not. Not happy.

Does the job

Does exactly what it says and allowed me to store pics and videos on it from my camcorder

Sony DVD plus 16x speed media

This is an excellent product of high quality. It records well and the resulting quality is good. I was recommended using sony Media as it is considered tops in quality with v little in the way of"duds"

Good Headphones

These headphones are very good for newbie DJ who never get any DJ headphones. Good sound(very clean bass and soprans), comfortable and solidly is the best things i can describe these headphones. Very good for gaming and watching videos!! I recomended to plug in to mini-tower or set of Hi-Fi. 4 stars, because Sony MDR v500DJ are too quiet and have low bass power in relation to other DJ headpones with the same price and lower.

Very good quality for the price.

These are very good earphones. My only complaint is that they are a bit big and can become a little uncomfortabe after a while. They have lasted me well and I am just about to buy a second pair.

Neat, easy to put together, what a fantastic solution to home cinema.

The ease of setup was a relief, the self calibration function via the supplied microphone ensured a great sound straight out of the box.

The only small issue I had was the placement of the sub/mid box (the shape of the room was a little awkward). However, after a couple of tries I soon found the ideal spot (if you can place it against two walls the sound becomes richer, at least it did for me).

Full surround sound in less than 45mins!!!!

Brilliant headphones!

I first got a pair of these with a sony CD discman some years back. I used them without so much as a second thought - until they finally gave up the ghost and I realised how difficult it was to find a suitable replacement. Earbud phones fall out, and over-ear ones make the inside of my ears ache and aren't easy to get on/off, and I didn't want a pair of massive professional-style headphones. After searching around the high street for anything vaguely similar to no avail, I was delighted to find these still available via Amazon's suppliers. It does sound as though they are end of life now, so I've just bought 2 pairs to keep me going for some years. Considering how well-priced they are, I'm almost tempted to buy a 3rd pair now to be on the safe side. If you don't get on with earbud phones and over-ear clips, these could well be the ones for you. Catch 'em while you can!

Was well impressed with this product..the quality of sound is amazing and, I would highly recommend this radio for anyone looking to upgrade to a DAB! Delivery was to a high standard as usual too!

An Excellent Option

I like quality items and I was debating whether to get a more expensive model as I was a little put off by how cheap it was.

I was pleasantly surprised. It's well built, easy to use and the auto-dimmer function ensures that the brightness is always just right.

Highly Recommended.

Very good until it stopped woking @ 18months

Easy radio to get working - enjoyed its use - 18 months later it's stopped working and the adapter would cost £13+ to replace and one just thinks,"It's not worth it - I'd rather buy a different make that might last longer than pay Pure more money when their product didn't last the course."

was worried when i read the other reviews that i could end up with a fake, but my card works fine and it's always useful to have enough room in case you take too many pictures/videos!

a little gem

This was a good purchase. My old ipod nano had only 2GB storage so I needed to upgrade. The Sony had a massive 16GB at a very good price. The sound quality is great . Ok, so design wise the Apple products are fantastic but for a functional item this Walkman is a great buy.

Perfect Case

This case is perfect for my"cut-down" kit. I've a Sony Alpha 550, a Tamron 18-250, a SONY HVL-F20AM Flash, spare battery and SD cards, and they all fit comfortably in the case. I've a LowePro SLINGSHOT 202 AW for when I want to carry the rest of my lenses and my bigger flash, but for when I'm traveling light with my walkabout kit, this SOny case is absolutely perfect. I used to have a no-brand cheapo case, but the 550 wouldn't fit in it with the 18-250 mounted - I took a chance that this case would fit it, and it paid off. The case is very well made, and offers good, sturdy protection, with a zipped pocket each side for accessories.

Reviews Dont Lie

This is a nice upgrade from my Sony MDR-EX85LP and Apple MA850G/A In-Ear Headphones. I hate the apple headphone. Thank god I have sold it last week for Eur 40. I got it for Eur 79 but there is no point of keeping it if not using.
My MDR-EX85LP is ok. It has serves me well for the past 3 years. I have been using them especially for running even when it raining and it is still doing good.

After reading a lot of good reviews about the new MDR-EX500, I have decided to give it a try and upgrade my MDR-EX85LP . Well, it does not dissapoint me when I received it this morning. It takes me about 30 seconds to fell in love with my upgrade. The bass is a lot clearer than the MDR-EX85 and Apple. I could also feel the clarity of the left n right sound coming from the earphone. I am already impressed with it now although I know that this earphone has not burn in yet as many reviewers mentioned.

Now I just wonder, how good is the higher end Sony MDR-EX700 to compare with this MDR-EX500. The price is tripled but is the quality is tripled as well? :)

I will update the performance when it is use when running/jogging.

-Its good for running. Better than my previous earphones however need to be extra careful with traffic as it does cancel outside noise.

-I can confirm that the sounds keep getting better and better as other reviewers mentioned.

-Im using it on iPhone and it is best to turn off the equalizer as it does not need any help on tuning. I did use the equaliser on my previous earphones to get the right sound.

Pointless

Bought these for use in gym as they are supposed to isolate sound. I don't know if I have supersized ear canals but I found no sound reduction with these in place,even with the biggest inserts on. Couple this with the fact that they are so quiet that you can hear the wind whistling past them as you run and you have earphones which are of no practical use in the gym. I bought them becuase I hate the music that they play in the gym and with them on I just get very quiet music of my choice with the stuff I hate playing over the top of it. Of course because as they are in ear you don't get a refund.

Don't waste your money.
