Stunning.

This camera has been such a great purchase. I was unsure about the file format and whether it would work on my macbook but it seems like this was created for mac as well as windows. Imovie 08 easily imports the video and i cant say how pleased i am. The video quality is visually stunning. I still find myself with my mouth open just gawping as the quality of the video.

Edit - After doing prior research i have found that AVCHD is only recognised on Intel Macs

Great Little Player

I bought this to entertain two children on a four hour flight and it was spot on. Of course, the built in speaker is no competition to the noise of an aircraft but the two headphone sockets meant that that was no real problem.

I also used this as a standard DVD player while on holiday and plugged it straight into a 37inch widescreen TV with the supplied leads. The picture / sound quality was superb especially as I was mostly playing .avi files through it. The battery life exceeded the stated maximum when used in this way as the player's own screen was switched off.

I've successfully played +R and -R DVD disks with ISO files and AVIs, standard DVD movies and MP3's on disk. I also plugged my camera's memory stick into the USB port via a USB card reader. The access time between photos was a little slow (couple of seconds) and it couldn't play the movies from my Sony camera but the photo display was excellent.

I looked a few other players (both cheaper and more expensive) before settling on the Sony and after a couple of weeks of using it I'm glad I went for this one.

why would you spend any more money on a 26 inch. This tv is perfect for just watching or even playing your games console. picture quality is excellent and so is the sound. a perfect all-rounder. just like the other guy i also looked on the sony website and found for a little extra i could get this tv instead of the kdl26s3000 which has a slightly worse resolution. brilliant buy now!!

Bravo ! - for Sony Bravia 23"

Isn't it difficult to know what tv to buy these days, especially if you're a non-techy like me ? Anyway I plumped for this Sony - an excellent service from Amazon by the way - and can't praise it too highly. Arrived today, and first thing I noticed was how light it was taking it out of the box. Very easy to set up, went without a hitch, not like the old days. Good to see that you can vary the bass/trebble on the sound (about time this was included) and there is also an option to keep sound 'constant', ie to stop that annoying way in which the volume is increased for advertisements and trailers (an infringement that should be outlawed).
By the way the 'mocha' colour of this model seems to be a shade of grey..
So all in all this seems to be an excellent buy and I would recommend it highly judging by my first impressions.

Sony 8GB Memory Stick

I bought this item for £52.90, and i must say it let me down, on receiving the item i immediately used it on my computer, to discover that it was a 8GB card, it was a 4GB, but all of the packaging stated that the product was a 8GB card, this confused me, so i looked closer and notice that there was another piece of plastic stuck over the writing on the memory card itself, my thoughts were that this was a 4GB memory card which looked like a 8GB one, i contacted amazon and they have yet to reply to me, i have used amazon for some time now but this is the first time they have let me down, even though it may be the manufactorers fault, amazon should check that the products they put on sale are genuine and not faulty.

Camcorder use

I bought a Sony DCR SR 52 for my wife's birthday and want to get a tripod she can use with it. Is the VCT suitable.?

The perfect tool for the job

As others have said, it's impossible to fault this. The sound quality is excellent. The tape mechanism itself makes no background sound. It worked immediately. The instructions are 2 lines long (and you don't even need those). What can I say? This is the best thing I've bought ever. I can now listen to my ipod in the car. Awesome.

Brilliant!

Really good peair of earphones, our second set as the one of the first pair packed up after about a year. However, for convenience of use, performance and price, no problems with recommending these to any prospective purchaser.

Great little case

This is a great little case for all Sony Camera owners out there. It's soft enough to protect your delicate camera and yet tough enough to protect it from the elements. It does exactly as it says really. I'm curruntly using it for my Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 and have to say it protects it really well, doesn't leave any scratches or marks on the camera at all. It fastens with a velcro tab and has a small zipped compartment on the front for a spare battery or memory card. Overall, a great product and well worth the money. Much better value than other unofficial camera cases available. Plain, simple and good value for money.

Very good accessory for sony camcorder

I bought this for my new camcorder (sony dcr-hc39e), and for the price its very good. It has enough space to fit the camcorder with np-fp90 battery (not supplied with the camcorder, but 3times as powerful and bigger than the np-fp50 you get with the camcorder) and the spare battery, as well as some tapes in the main compartment.

there are 3 pockets on the outside, in the front of which there is enough space to put usb cable, and the av cable). the side pockets can fit about 4mini-dv tapes each.

Theres also a mesh like pocke on the inside. I store the remote control and the 3pin-scart adaptor.

It is very good value for money, and is durable.

Gread Cans

Trust Sony to come out with a great set of headphones. Im a big admirer of Sony products and these headphones are no different. Great sound and really smart. Extra long wire for reach. Recommended.

Perfect

I bought these for the gym and they were great. The sound quality aint bad either, though they do distort a little at high volumes (thats me being picky). I mainly use them for running and I really have not had a problem with them, they stay in position well and are light enough for me not to notice them.

However I can understand why others have had problems. Fortunately the ear band fits my ears well, but if you have small ears the band would be too big and could slip off.

I had problems tuning into digital radio, apparently unit was faulty, replacement unit is working perfectly.

Regarding the issues with the digital channels. I had the same problem with the unit only tuning into about five digital radio channels, even though the local tv/radio transmitters can be seen from the window of the room it was in. I contacted Sony customer care who said the unit was probably faulty and to ask Amazon for an exchange, which I did - this replacement unit is fine and tunes into all the available local and national digital radio channels. I can only advise anyone who is experiencing problems to contact Sony customer care as they were very helpful and knowledgable about their product!

AWESOME

Excellent quality stereo headphones that produce fantastic sound with plenty of bass.

They fit right in the ear, but just dont push em too far in, Comes complete with three different ear bud sizes.

However like all in ear headphones that i've tried over the years they still fall out.

Amazing value only cost me £5.44 brand new including postage & packaging.
