A nice little TV!

I have been looking for a 26" flat screen for the bedroom for some time, lingering over a Toshiba, a Panasonic and this one. I quickly discounted the Panasonic (though if I had the money I would have gone for it but couldn't justify the expense on the basis that you wouldn't be able to clearly tell the difference on a 26" TV!). However, having had some good sony stuff in the past, I went for Sony. And I am pleased I did.
Easy to use, easy to unpack, excellent delivery (normal free delivery), easy controls, fantastic picture too.
Quite a neat a little package for a small TV!!
Sound is ok, bearing in mind that it's a small flat TV - copes well with the virtual dolby too.
Lots of output slots means you can always find an excuse to plug something into the TV to show something off on it!!!

DNE511 good value.......but a few weak points.

I'd have to say....this is one of my favourite Portable CD players I have owned. The sound quality is crisp and clear, while the portablility is descent as well. It is however a dedicated portable CD player......meaning no line out for those who would like to make it their mini Hi-Fi and connect their speakers. Okay, yes, you can connect the them via the headphone socket, but the max volume output is soo rediculously low you might as well just stick in earphones. As for the functions.....the Jog Dial is aalright but can be very annoying when keeping it in your jacket at school whilst listening to a track in class, and when you need to turn it off or switch the tracks you realize the jog-dial menu is up. But, that is very unlikely to happen. All In All, for the price it is a good quality piece of kit that will have your ears praising from the good sound quality.

Excellent value

I purchased this item recently and am delighted wih the ease of use and quality of sound. It’s lightweight and good to look at too. I sing in a choir, and it’s perfect for recording rehearsals and reviewing performance between our practice nights.

Frustrated and annoyed

I was so looking forward to getting a new Sony Walkman, my old Connect player had served me well. I no problem with the older model loading, programming etc. I have tried for two days to get this one to work, I followed all the instructions to a letter, which is not easy as you have to remember to charge it fully first, which it doesn't actually tell you to do. It just tells you how to charge it. Eventually after naming my model"Maud" and managing to load a couple of albums onto it, I unplugged it from the computer and listened. Yes the sound quality is fantastic. Great I thought let's load some more stuff. Computer now does not recognise ''Maud''. So unless you want a lot of frustration from my point of view leave it well alone.

Fanatastic

What a great TV at a great price.
The wife didnt want black and not many other manaufacturers did another colour.So i went for this dark silver model which looks very nice on the silver stand.Picture is superb and the sound lacks a bit of bass but I am getting used to it after a few days.
Will need to save up for a HD DVD player but currently using an upscaling DVD player and looks great,colours are rich and picture crisp.
Put my trust in a SONY and it paid off.
Reccomended.

Good Value for £19.99

Never owned an MP3 player before - really really pleased with this one, especially the sound quality. It does say that it can hold over 600 tracks but at the highest sound quality it is more in the 220 field.

One slight quibble is the fiddly nature of the fast forward and rewind button. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it needs a little pursuading but overall I am very pleased with it.

Buyer Beware

I purchased these for listening to classical music during the walk to work so dealing with traffic noise was a major factor. Good and bad news on this front. The good news is that traffic noise is much reduced. The bad news is that this comes from these phones ability to magnify the lightest of summer breezes into a rip-roaring, state of Florida flattening hurricane howling in your ears.

If you've ever wondered how the Berlin Philharmonic would sound if they were playing Ride of the Valkeries while Miami is being flattened all around them by Hurricane Harriet then reach for your wallet now. Otherwise ...

Maybe they'll work better in a windless environment but these are essentially useless outdoors.

Amazing sound and solid build

Bought these speakers for my Sony Ericsson Walkman phone - good value at under £18. Being a genuine SE accessory, they seem to have really tuned these little beauties to work with their phones. The connection is a dedicated one for SE phones w Walkman/media players - please check they're compatible with your phone before getting them!

They come in a hardy clear plastic carry box that's about the size of a small spectacle case, are light and easily portable, and materials used, build quality etc are top notch.

You get brilliant sound quality with decent aural range out of them, amazingly they don't use batteries, instead drawing their juice from the phone. The wiring also serves as the antenna for your phone's radio, and reception is really clear. Volume is decent, but not having their own power supply does mean their sound level does top out at a satisfactory, rather than spectacular level. Still, perfect for overnights in hotel rooms. It's great to travel light with only 3 items for short trips - phone, charger, and speakers - rather than phone & charger, psp & charger, sound dock and batteries.

Highly recommended: when these arrived in the office and I tried them out, three of my colleagues with SE phones were so impressed with the sound quality and simplicity of them that they promptly went online and bought them too.

Probably very good - but NOT printable!

I chose these CDRs because the technical details say they are printable - but sadly they are not. I'm sure they are perfectly good but they don't fit the Amazon description so back they go!

I came across these headphones years ago have not found anything better of this type at any price, (not for won't of wasting money, why Sony sell more expensive models that sound far inferior I will never know.)I own a pair of Sennheiser HD600 £180 audiophile phones and have to do a quick a b comparison to hear any difference the Sennheiser sound slightly smoother.

Probably the best travel DAB radio

Excellent build quality, simple to operate, very good clear sound from a very good speaker, clear digital display with the ability to increase the size of the display characters. 4 x AA Alkaline batteries last about 8 hours. There is no RDS on FM. It is principally a DAB radio, with the FM band as a back-up for use when you cannot receive DAB signals. There is an odd design flaw. You must not - according to the instructions - switch on the mains adapter while the batteries are in. Most radios have an electronic gate which automatically disconnects the batteries when the mains adaptor is plugged in. This radio does not, and you could damage it if you forget to remove the batteries before switching the mains on.
Also, when replacing the batteries, or changing to mains power, you must do it within one minute or lose all your settings. However, these irritations do not detract from the fact that this is the best travel DAB radio, with very good DAB reception, an essential travel lock, a compact size [about the size of a paperback book], and a well designed simple to operate system.

I didn't actually get it...

I'm sure the item itself is great, but when I ordered this, I actually got the LCS-TWD instead and it was shipped from the US. So I basically didn't get what I paid for.

Interestingly, I paid £4.50 for p&p and £26.25 for the item -- when the package arrived, it said that US postage was $1.80 (about 90 pence?) and the value stated on the jiffy was $9.49 (about £5?), so in all I feel like I've been ripped off... In fairness, elsewhere on the internet, you can get the case for anything from £18-£24.99 so I'd say that it's probably best to buy from elsewhere -- at least you might get what you ordered.

Excellent balance between price and performance!

I am a bit of an audiophile, and sound quality is important to me, as is style, performance, and of course price. These phones manage to brilliantly balance all of these factors, in a stylish design.

The sound quality is wonderfuly open, balanced, detailed and clear. Used with my iPod touch with equalizer set to 'Flat' the bass is perfect in a product like this, ie detailed and not too thick and deep, and the treble is open and sweet!

The noise reduction is very effective, though not as good as say the Bose QC3's, which I have owned. There is a noticeable hiss (significantly more than with the Bose phones) but it is the case that you would only turn on the circuitry in a noisy environment, when the hiss 'effect' seems to dissappear, and you truly benefit from significant reduction in low level ambient and annoying noise. You would hear some hiss in a quiet environment (which you hardly do with the Bose phones) but in this circumstance you can just turn of the noise cancelling, and they operate as a normal pair of good quality headphones (which the Bose phones don't).

So, if you want top notch noise reduction but thick and woolly bass reproduction (and don't mind paying over £300 pounds!!) go for the Bose QC3's. But, if you want top quality sound, smart design, portability, along with very good noise reduction (when used in appropriate situations), and want all of this for about £60 pounds only, definitely get the Sony's!!

A perfect balance of all factors in my view. Highly recommended!!

hmm....I have mixed opinions on this Item...

Before i bought these headphones for my ipod, i had been switching through many different types of headphones, of all which broke within a few months (sometimes even weeks). However, this was what i had expected because all of those headphones were not particularily expensive.

After i purchased these headphones, i had extremely high expectations for the durablity, hoping that the £20.00 i had invested would not go to waste. And I have to admit, i was ecstatic. The sounds quality of these headphones are excellent, and they really drown out all sound besides the music. The 3 sizes of different ear-buds provided, ensure comfort for all ears (haha, that should be an advert slogan xD)...and just generally, the headphones are actually quite aesthetically pleasing.

Despite my great effort to keep these headphones in the best conditions possible, these headphones lasted for only 5 months before the left headphone stopped working altogether. Although this pair lasted a lot longer than any others I had, i was still expecting it to last for at least another month or two.

So, on the whole, although the quality of these headphones were excellent, the durability really disappointed me, so from me the item gets 3/5

Good stuff
