Good for grownups too!

I must confess that I am an adult and I bought this for myself. I just didn't want any of those boring black or grey clock radios. Then I spotted this one! It has all the features I need--although I will probably refrain from using the coloured disco ball light. It is nice and sturdy and easy to operate, and it is colourful and bright. A real winner even for grownups!

Not compatible with iTouch/iPhone 3G

I bought this product to use with my new iTouch 64gb 3G which has full Bluetooth functionality. These phone were supposed to work with it, and indeed I can listen to audio. What is missing is any volume control capabilities, even manually from the iTouch, so you are stuck with whatever level Sony decided to set - typically way too loud.
These are definitely a waste of money for Apple products and neither Apple or Sony seem to want to respond to requests for help - I would imagine at some stage Sony will have to come out with a software upgrade (or Apple).

Excellent portable shortwave radio

This is a brilliant radio. I bought it mainly for its excellent coverage of the shortwave bands.
I have owned quite a few portable digital shortwave radios, including the very first digital shortwave radio by Sony, ICF-2001.

Very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Headphone

This Headphone is not genuine. If you wants to use this with ur phone then i would not recommend because the extension jack does not work properly. It is cheap headphone and rubbish but if u wants to use this headphone with ipod or with something else then u can buy this because i m using this with my laptop but don't buy if u want to use this with ur phone.

Not what I expected

Having purchased a Sony video camera, with which I am well pleased, I also bought a"DVD Direct" recorder form Sony, which burns either Blu-ray or HD discs straight from the camera, and is excellent. Going on holiday, I decided to buy these re-writable dics to transfer the recordings. There are 2 issues here, firsly neither the Sony recorder, nor either of my computers would recognise these discs as suitable media. Secondly, the retailer shows a postage cost per disc, and (my fault), I didnt realise that they offer no disount on this for multi-orders,so that I was charged the rate for each disc, even though the multi order was put into 1 pack! I would NEVER use this retailer again, and am puzzled as to what purpose the discs are actually for!

Not perfect..but not bad at all

If you're like me and a good set of running headphones that last longer than a month and don't give you earache while staying put is the holy grail of running accessories then these aren't perfect...but they are the closest I've come, and I've been through more than I care to mention. They totally stay in place, are pretty comfy and seem to be well put together, as well as stylish in a retro, 80's over the head kind of way. Longevity remains to be seen as I've only had them a few weeks, but the signs are good.
An innovative feature with them is the half length cable (making them good for using with an armband-less excess cable)-but they also come with a kind of"extension lead" if you need more. My only gripe is this connector which links the two lengths of cable together-it's heavy and means I can't connect my headphones directly to the treadmills at my local gym-the heavy connector is left hanging halfway between my head and the treadmill bouncing about in mid air and is a bit of a liability.
Apart from that minor gripe I wish I had had this pair of headphones before I'd spent too much of my hard earned cash on 4 sets of sennheishers as well as countless other makes and types.

Good set of speakers for the money

I bought these speakers a few years ago and have just bought some more they are great, clear sound and plenty loud enough for a small room.

Sony Ericsson HCB-150

This product works very well and is easy to use. The reception is clear and likwise, the transmission according to people at the other end of the line. The only slight criticism is that the in-car charging lead is a bit on the short side. When possible, I charge the unit in the house using my phone charger, but if I had to do it in the car, I would have to remove the unit from the sun visor as the power socket is in the centre console.

happy with this purchase.

this is great - it's easy to move around the house and easy to operate. Although there are not many portable radio/cassette/CD players to choose from I am happy with this model. Sounds good too. It was useful to know that the power adaptor adds a few extra inches at the back and therefore not suitable for a shallow shelf area.

DVD Recorder Life Extended

After buying my first dvd recorder I was looking forward to using it but within the first year it started unformatting +rw discs.I used several brands and I was unsure why it was doing that.I found that the discs would playback on the computer but could no longer be reformatted on the dvd recorder or computer.I lost some programmes trying to reformat before trying them on computer.I decided to contact seller and I had dvd recorder booked in for repair whilst still in warranty.After getting it back it started unformatting discs again.I was not goiung to spend money on having it looked at again so I decided I would just use +r discs for transferring vhs material.It was puzzling that +r discs seemed to work fine but not +rw discs.I reverted to my vcr for recording and about 18 months later I decided I would give +rw discs one more chance.I bought sony +rw discs to match the sony +r discs that were fine and I have had no trouble with them since December 2009.I am writing a review on the second pack of sony +rw discs I purchased from amazon after the first pack was successful too.Incidently after purchasing a big pack of sony +r discs I lost one to a formatting issue but I had used over 20 +r discs successfully.The success of the +rw discs has certainly extended the life of my dvd recorder.The only problem with the +rw discs is that you can only record one hour in the highest quality mode and because LCD televisions are very poor for standard video pictures anything less than XP or highest quality is unwatchable on playback.That is why I prefer to continue using a CRT TV unless I can use HD on the LCD.

I BOUGHT THESE TO LISTEN TO MUSIC WHEN IN BED. THEY ARE O.K. IN PARTICULAR THEY HAVE A VOLUME CONTROL WHICH IS MOST USEFUL.

Sony DM CD Clock Radio ICF-CD814

This was a purchase for my wife that specifically wanted a CD player. This is certainly a nice clock radio with a rather large digital display. As mentioned by other people, there is a slight hum that comes from the machine, but not enough to keep you up. Overall, a good clock radio with some good features, such as waking up to the sound of your CD player. There are two alarm settings which can be set so you wake up during work days with the second alarm for weekends if you're inclined!

Very Happy!

I bought this product as I already have a Technics MD player as part of my system but no facility to listen to my Mini-discs elsewhere. I was glad the player was well protected in packaging on arrival and ripped at the parcel straight away. For those who remember the first personal MD players I can offer re-assurance that the battery is not the huge re-charge type, - 1 x AA battery is all you need and this lasts a very long time! The build is delicate on the inside but then MD players are delicate. The sound quality is very good and there are some very useful features - for the price I almost seem compelled to buy another just in case Sony stop making them, - I love it, - it's a great little product!!

Recording quality and reliability of these discs is great - couldn't fault either on a pack of ten.

However, I won't be buying them again because I bought these for their printable quality to make copies of discs to use in the car and I like to copy the designs on the discs themselves. Unfortunately the printable surface on these doesn't go right to the spindle hole in the centre so if you are copying or printing a design that covers the whole surface then not only do you miss the middle bit out but you also get ink drops on the middle which don't dry out and easily smudge to spoil the rest of the surface.

So avoid if a full print surface is important to you.

Don't replace your ipod phones with these

I just bought these to replace my apple ear phones that came with my ipod. They are shockingly bad in comparison. Very tinny sound, and nothing like the warm and clear tone from my existing phones. I'm now off to the apple shop for some quality phones, and I'll only be paying £9 more- money well spent.
