Review for Sony KDL-40W4000 - 40" Widescreen 1080P Full HD Bravia LCD TV - With Freeview:
Fabulous picture quality and design
After looking to buy a 40" LCD for 18 months, I saw this in the local sony shop. The picture quality is superb both on HD and SD from sky and freeview. It is a much better than the Sony X series that was next to it in the shop. It is also a major step forward in design easily beating other sonys and samsungs and together with a more competitive price for this quality screen and an introductory offer meant I had to buy it. Highly recommend everyone to see this LCD before buying any other103

Review for Sony MDR-V700DJ Professional DJ Headphones:
The one thing I would highlight to anyone thinking of buying these is that there are a lot of fake / Japanese versions flying around. I was caught out by one such marketplace seller, who claimed to be selling the identical Z700DJ (japanese version) headphones. After I recieved them I found the quality was nothing like the ones I tries in the shops (both build quality and sound), and after a bit of messing around he agreed to take them back and give a refund. I'm not 100% sure, but I reckon they were fakes, so I'd caution anyone who is looking at these headphones not to be taken in by the low prices on offer and to get the real things directly from Amazon. Also if you do decide to buy them from Amazon Marketplace sellers then make sure you read all the feedback the person has recieved and if there is any hint of accusations about fakes then steer well clear.
I don't mean to put anyone off these headphones because they are brilliant, but if you can afford the extra, I would get them from Amazon not the Marketplace sellers.

Excellent Headphones
I bought these headphones after testing them in my local Sony Centre and was blown away. The sound is brilliant, with excellent clarity and bass. I honestly noticed sounds in some of my favorite songs that I had never noticed before! The one thing I would highlight to anyone thinking of buying these is that there are a lot of fake / Japanese versions flying around. Review for Sony 1GB Memory Stick Pro:
It, erm, works!
There's not much to say about a memory stick, except that it does exactly what it's supposed to do perfectly well! The 1GB Memory Stick allows you not to worry about running out of memory or having a spare stick (e.g. it holds approximately 400 photos taken at 5 megapixel on my camera). The data transfer rate is speedy and I haven't encountered any problems with it.106

Review for Sony MDR-XD200 Stereo Headphones - Silver:
Unimpressive Sony Headphones
The MDR-XD200's cost me £20.00p and for the money you cannot complain too much. Yes, they are tinny as it states in one amazon comment, and they do lack bass, as in another. The EQ switch has no effect. Sadly though, there is nothing extraordinary here, hence little to excite the senses. I prefer far more bass but these are midrange with a poor base even when plugged into an amp. They are also uncomfortable. Sony could do better than this, meaning they could make them more comfortable and also add more bass. I would not purchase another pair. I would leave these alone and go for the Sennheiser HD465's as these are far superior in sound and comfort.109

magicgate memory stck
I purchased a brilliant Sony HDR SR12 a few weeks ago ,and a Sony 4GB memory stick, which is on the adjacent site, only to find out that "MagicGate" is not compatible with the Sr12. You will only find this out on the downloaded manual ,and that is on Page 105 of the Maintenance and Precautions section...117

This card is not compatible with ReadyBoost
The are different versions/models of this card with varing in speeds. The model sold here is only £17(ish) because its slow - too slow for Vista ReadyBoost. You'll have to spend nearer £45 for an actual high version of this card. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing which card you have as none have unqiue identifying features.I regret having bought this card and would urge others to buy from a local shop rather than from this resller.

Review for Sony KDL-26S3020 - 26'' Widescreen Bravia HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview:
This review combines my feelings as regards Amazon's service and also the Sony wide screen LCD Tele'.
Amazon I can not fault, three days from order to delivery for both the stand and television coming from different suppliers, keep this up Amazon!!.
I know we as customers pay a little more for Sony because of the name, but in my wife's and my opinion, this is justified because of the visual and audio quality simply screems out from the set, with small adjustments to the colour temperature and contrast, the result is truly fantastic, far far better than any CRT I have ever seen.
Panned movement in films is also much more natural even at 50Khz timing, and the contrast adjustment through the menu system is so easy, I have my Tele. set to contrast 'vivid', and colour temperature 'cool', even with old B/W and colour films.

Review for Sony DCR-HC62E Mini DV Handycam with X25 Zoom:
Time lapse recording is great; leave the Camcorder on a tripod and it will take one frame every 2 to 120 seconds and produce those time-lapse sequences you see on TV. Very cool.
My gripes are:
(1) the automatic light level setting seems dark to me when filming inside. Any backlighting at all can cause the foreground image to be quite dark. There is a backlighting compensation control, but you often don't realise you needed it until you view the footage later on.
(2) Also in mediocre light, the unit seems to try to refocus occasionally, resulting in sudden moments of fuzziness in the middle of a sequence. Not quite bad enough for me to feel I can claim it is faulty, but nevertheless irritating.
If you have a chance to try before you buy, do your testing indoors under artificial light. That's the weak spot.
Overall I'm pretty happy and am learning to live with and work around the couple of limitations.

Review for Sony DCR-HC62E Mini DV Handycam with X25 Zoom:
Pretty good; a little weak for interior work
The must-have feature that clinched the buying decision for me was DV-In so I could record back to tape after editing. Very few budget camcorders have that. I edit using iMovie 2 on an old Mac PowerBook and this model works just fine, both in and out of the Mac's FireWire ports.Time lapse recording is great; leave the Camcorder on a tripod and it will take one frame every 2 to 120 seconds and produce those time-lapse sequences you see on TV. Very cool.

Great Tripod
Great little tripod. bought it as a travel tripod for a trip to australia and its been a great help. packs down really small, fitting i a very small day pack with plenty of room for slr, raincoat, and bottle of water.Very easy to use, very light and feels very sturdy for the price i paid.
The one thing i would say is that this is not the tallest tripod when fully extended. so think about what you intend to use the tripod - i found that, when trying to take photographs over the fence of a motorway brige, that it was JUST too small for the job.
As a travel tripod, it is great value for money.
