Cannot believe the cheap price

Having read all the previous customer reviews I was anxious about purchasing this Sony card.However I noticed it cost £44.99 in Argos and with Unique-estore offering it for £6.49 + P&P I thought 'what the heck'.I ordered it on Wed evening and it was delivered Friday am.Excellent quick service.It is the black Sony card, it looks to be genuine amd more to the point it works very well with my Sony Cybershot camera.I have already downloaded my first photos to the computer.I am more than pleased!!

Does what it says on the tin...

I bought my Cybershot digital camera mainly for taking on nights out so I wanted a suitably small camera case to go with it.

For such a low price I wondered what this case would be like.

The case is Sony branded, well built, has sufficient padding to avoid damage to the camera but it's still not too bulky to fit in my pocket. There's a 'pocket' where you can put a spare memory card and a loop and metal clip for attaching to a belt/lanyard.

There's not a lot more you can say about a camera case!

Superb!

Read loads of reviews on here & decided to get one of these. I was a bit concerned about transfering the music as my computer is a bit on the old side but I needn't have bothered. Switched the Walkman on, plugged it in & dragged & dropped the files. No problem. Really fast transfer time to. The sound quality is soo much better than other MP3 players I've had too. I can't praise it enough. If you can't decided what to buy take my advice and look no further.

I just could not believe how much this memory stick was, I had costed them up from high street stores and found that Amazon was at least 3 times cheaper !!

Beware: You might think you are buying a genuine Sony product but this sellers warehouse contains genuine producs and"mistakenly packaged items."

We do also sell generic pro duo memory sticks that we import from China. These usually have our own logo on them but our supplier sent our last batch with the Sony logo on both the packaging and the memory sticks themselves. We have told them that we do not want them with the Sony logo as they are in effect counterfeit and misbranded.

We do not however sell these as Sony as this would be wrong.

We are aware that there are some sellers including some well know on-line retailers that do sell these as Sony so it is a case of buyer beware.

As already indidcated, we do of course stock genuine Sony memory media. In your case, because of the Sony branding being on the packaging, we have mis-picked your item during picking & packing instead of sending you genuine Sony.

Good DSLR at GREAT price

Had been drooling over DSLRs for a while having had an old SLR years ago. I wasn't happy with the results from compacts and was looking at the Canons and Nikons when I came across this. Having looked over the Amazon reviews for different DSLRs and checking the features this camera seems to have it all. It has a great feature list at a very good price that just about allowed me to order without too much grief from my better half.
Having taken it out and about for a couple of days I can fully recommend it. It takes great pictures and the software, and online support is superb. Considering I bought a 6.1Mp compact for similar money a couple of years ago this is worth the investement for a step up to DSLR. Even my wife is converted now! Phew!

I brought this camera a little over 1 month ago, and after extensive testing on a holiday to Berlin was very impressed with the features on this camera, only down side is the smile feature! i tied it out, and you need to be grinning ear to ear to make it work! but apart from that it is a good camera. Battery life is very good, and there is an internal memory just in case you run out of space on your memory card, i have a 4gb memory card and have found this sufficent for at least 4 days worth of photos, picture quality is very good as is the video recording. i would recomed this camera as it is light , looks good and packed with features.

Excellent camera

Absolutely love this camera. It's a huge upgrade from my previous brick. Fantastic pictures, very easy to use, and in black it's extremely sexy! You can take about 600 pictures with a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. Definitely recommended and a good price too! Fits perfectly in the"Sony LCS-CST Soft Carrying Case For Slim Cybershot".

Everybody's smiling with the W170

I've already got an alpha 100 D-SLR, but there are occasions when its just not the time to lug a great big camera round with all the different bits that go with it. So I thought that this would be a good everyday sort of camera. I was wrong.

It's a fantasic camera! I could end up using it more than my D-SLR as the pictures are of the same quality, but in such a small case!

The last compact digital camera I had was another Cyber-Shot, the P-10, but its 5 years old now, and how its all changed. Everything is so fast, from turning it on, to focusing, to zooming, to taking as many pictures you want in a row, its all instant!

However, I really think the best points of this camera are the functions that do it all themselves. Face detection and the Smile Shutter. No longer is face detection a gimmick, everything is adjusted to make those faces look the best they can, focus, exposure, white balance, and flash are all adjusted. And it plays a role in the Smile Shutter, the most fantastic thing you will use for a long while.

Just focus the camera, press the shutter, and smile! It really works, and is so fun to use, you can also set the camera to child priority, so that the camera will only fire when the children in the photo are smiling, I hear sighs of relief from parents everywhere!

But using the Smile Shutter you will always get great people pictures, as i've found, after the first smiling picture, the subject laughs so much at the camera that it just keeps going!

All of this, and a lot more, in something you can fit in any trouser pocket, what an age we live in.

Ok, a couple of tiny gripes. The camera is slower to focus when zoomed in to the max 5x's, but only by about a second. The other is that in my 5 year old camera, the infoLITHIUM battery used would tell you down to minute how long you had till it ran out, all of my Handycam's do this too. This camera CAN do this, but you have to purchase an infoLITHIUM battery seperatly, would have been nice to include it in the box.

Overall though, its a supurb piece of kit, and i'm sure it will capture many moments, probably 95% with smiling happy people due to the Smile Shutter, to come.

Sony DSC T70 Slim Camera

This is by far the best camera I ever lay my hands on,Went to Alton Towers for my cousins birthday,the slim machine quickly takes HD quality images without hesitation the moment you pressed the button unlike most cameras I had before you press and press and then the moment passes it then decides twa-twa half an hour later,frustrating!!
I love this camera guys the screen is massive,its good for the price as well.

quality memory stick!!!

This item is superb. Reads data fast and can hold data up to 7.57gb which is a lot!!!.
I want to advise; never buy memory stick from third party sellers just because its a little cheaper. There are lots of fake memory sticks made in china which look so much like the genuine memory stick. I actually bought a memory stick before from a seller in ebay because it was cheaper but what I got was a fake one which doesnt work properly (can't read data and can't take data more than 1~2gb). Get it from amazon, its the most sure, fast, cheap way to get a GENUINE memory stick.

Good but not excellent

Ok, having bought this as a first-time tripod I thought you might like to know a few details. Firstly, when the legs are fully extended it takes up a triangular footprint with each side being 95cm. With the central column unextended, the full leg extension gives you a height of 115cm. Extending the wind-up central column gets you up to 145cm in height.

So far, so good.

However, a few negatives to note. First, the tilt and pan action doesn't have a satisfying damped action. It's not jerky by any means, but it just isn't creamy smooth, so you tend to grip the tripod arm a little more than you have to, to compensate. Also, because of the tripod's light weight (just over 1 kg), when you wind-up the central column the whole tripod wobbles a little bit on its legs, so you have to place your spare hand on one of the legs to steady it. Not a problem between shots, but if you're ratcheting it up mid-filming, it's a bit of a pain.

I give it 4 stars though, because it is well put together, and Sony give you a spirit level and a 90-degree tilt on the platform for portrait shots. If, like me, what you're looking for is a means of steadying your family snapshots on the go, I would personally recommend going for a monopod instead.

Best little bag in town

Superb in every way, a perfect mate for the Sony DCR HC22E camcorder that I have recently purchased. Plenty of neat little pockets and very secure in every way. I can also fit my Sony Cybershot digital camera in it as well. It is almost like Doctor Who’s Tardis it has that much room, yet it is small by comparison to other bags I have seen. A first class product.
