Worth the hefty charge ...as it were..

The battery supplied with my Sony TVR 16 didn't really stand up to much and I want to use a light and playback - this battery seems to offer the lot. It is a lot of money but it turns the camera into a different tool - you can't record a friend's wedding in an hour so if you are serious this one isn't too heavy and the camera is well designed to cope with its extended size. I've not had it long enough for problems but I read somewhere that these batteries will last for many years if you take them off the camera when not in use - I'm doing that so we'll see....

Enormous!!

Having read the reviews, I bought this along with my new Sony DCR-DVD109 camcorder. It is indeed large inside - you could easily fit two of these cameras in the main compartment and still have room for leads, a spare DVD and a spare battery. Then you need to work out what to put in the other handy pockets!

I can't fault the quality but the problem with all this space is its a bit bulky to carry about - I'm not quite ready to carry a man-bag! (My camcorder is the same size as the 106 and 306).

great little handycam from sony, One you have read through the over complicated manual you will eventually realize that it's quite user friendly.

Sony's Secret

The Sony remote tripod arrived very quickly and is an excellent piece of kit. As a semi proffessional videographer it is ideal for my needs. Why do Sony make it so hard to find items like this - even when I asked their tech dept about remotes they only pointed me to their wired and remote handheld controllers. Only discovered this by chance.

A Tip

Pretty awesome piece of kit really - does what it says it should do and in this instance has the quality brand name to go with it. Some advice for anyone who wants to copy a load of photos from the stick inside their camera onto their computer - don't.

As previously mentioned by another reviewer, if you try and copy a full card over from your camera to computer you're likely to use up a shedload of battery power. Now a pack of fairly decent batteries costs [...] at the moment - or you'll have to wait to recharge whatever ones you've got.

Instead, I'd 'invest' in a multicard reader. I have - spent [...] in a high-street electrical retailer on a 6-in-1 card reader - and as it's USB powered you don't have to have a spare mains socket or keep having to fork out for batteries.

But that's up to you anyway, I'm not here to tell you what to do :-)

Fantastic Item

Just bought this item for my Sony DSC-W50 Digital Camera. It gave me room to save 151 high quality images. For £16.62 i doubt you will find better any where else!

Sony NP-FS11 batteries have very poor lifetime

My 1 star rating is for Sony, NOT Amazon! In fact, I would have picked 0 stars, if this had been an option. I'm having to buy a new battery for my DSC505V even though I've not had the camera for more than 18 months. It seems that Sony have admitted that there is a problem with this battery when used with the DSC P1 camera (see their website), but they won't accept that the same problem exists with other cameras that use it. When charged, the camera reports a goodly number of minutes left for about a minute, but then suddenly shows 'low battery' on the display, shutting down shortly thereafter. I cannot believe that a modern NiMH battery is kaput after so short a life - the same technology is used on mobile phones, and look how long they last!! I'm sure it is to do with the (too clever, in my opinion) serial communication that the battery has with the camera. Now, I'm no cynic, but could it be that Sony have defined that the battery must not last longer than a certain number of charges, so as to boost their accessory sales? It wouldn't surprise me, given their off-handed response to this customer when I questioned their service guys. This is their problem, because the next Digi-cam I buy will NOT be made by Sony and I know I am not alone in feeling this.

Sony 2GB USB Flash Drive

This product has another use that many might not know off, it was purchased to go in the back of a SONY Blueray player, I have the 32GB incarnation too, both, or should I say all from this range are fast and multipurpose.
A product that will last for many years of use and looks good too.
The only thing I'd suggest to anybody buying one of these is that they also find a place to get USB end caps too, as you dont want anything getting into the USB socket.
Apart from that, 10 out of 10.

Excellent product - holds approx 500 + photos and I use in my Sony Cybershot DSC- T30 Camera

Would purchase again - However product was very cheap from supplier however I did feel that Amazon's set postal charges of 4.99 were very expensive as I'm sure 1.99 would have been ample

I use these cards with my Sony Ericsson W200i and K770i camera/walkman phones. The 2GB size allows more than enough music tracks to be stored along with enabling the phones' sound recorder, camera and video functions to be used in their high resolution modes (which means I no longer need to carry a camera for unplanned impromptu snaps).

The cards are tiny, reliable and robust (as I'd expect of Sony) and allow you to use and enjoy all of your phones' functions to their full potential.

A highly recommended purchase.
