Great wee piece of kit. Don't have a clue how to burn AVCDH files to a disc though. But if you buy a HD cable and play it through a nice telly, the footage looks brill.66

SONY memory stick
I think SONY memory stick of 64MB is good to use on my SONY digital camerabut I believe it is too expensive for its memory size. I wish it was 50% less than that.

These thieves"Bluetech Boutique" are openly selling fake"Sony Pro Duo Memory Sticks" on Amazon. I bought one for my Sony camera and after 9 months it started to give read-write errors. But Bluetech have failed to respond to complaints and Amazon said they could not do anything as it was after the 90 days!!!!!! - What kind of outfit are Amazon running - it is now in the hands of Trading Standards. Having searched everywhere for one of these chargers, which in my opinion, should have been supplied with the camera, I was thrilled to have found one on Amazon. It works great, and allows me to charge one battery whilst I'm off filming with the camera. Not only that, you can use the charger as a spare power supply for the camera! Freedom at last... The main complaint has to be the microphone in a slightly windy environment - it makes the video camera almost worthless outside for picking up conversations.
However that aside the ease of use is fantastic - I picked it up and could shoot on auto focus straight away and the downloading of files to the PC was incredibly easy.
The battery life is very good for continued use through a day and the hard drive space means even on a 3 week holiday using it daily I had lots of space left.
Well worth purchasing.

Sony's Secret
The Sony remote tripod arrived very quickly and is an excellent piece of kit. As a semi proffessional videographer it is ideal for my needs. Why do Sony make it so hard to find items like this - even when I asked their tech dept about remotes they only pointed me to their wired and remote handheld controllers. Only discovered this by chance.

A Camcorder well worth considering
I purchased this camcorder after reading professional reviews and it came out top. I like the fact that it is high definition and also takes still pictures using 6.1 mega pixels, which is more than sufficient quality for family photos. The quality of the movies is excellent and I prefer the tape to hard drive as I know each tape runs for one hour and then I can store them until I have time to download and edit on my computer before burning to DVD. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting to purchase a High Definition Camcorder. The only drawback is that they are no longer in production and are hard to find to purchase new.
