Excellent, good quality unit from Sony, does exactly what it says on the tin.
Easy to install. Fitted and powered up within 15 mins.
Sound quality a little lacking via MP3 plug in but GREAT direct off CD or Radio tuner.
For the price you can't go wrong!!

Sony Cassette Adaptor

I did not know they existed until a friend told me about them, all I can say is an excelent product that works very well. Far cheaper than converting to a CD player and just as good.

Sony car stereo cassette adaptor for iPod

If you have a car which has a cassette player function and an Ipod with a stereo out jack this is the in car adaptor for you. You can spend loads of money on fancy ipod adapters which you can tune your radio into which sounds cool but more often than not the sound quality will be poor. With this you get as near perfect sound as your gonna get from an ipod, by simply connecting the jack coming from the cassette into your ipod headphone socket and putting the cassette into your cassette player. YOUR CAR CASSETTE PLAYER MUST TAKE CASSETTES LENGTHWAYS (THE SHORT SIDE GOING INTO THE PLAYER) DUE TO THE WAY THAT THE CABLE COMES OUT OF IT)
Theres nothing else to say really other than it does exactly what its supposed to do and there is very little if any tape noise from the unit whilst it is going round.

DVD player

The Sony DVPFX720 Portable DVD player - Blue was purchased for my grandson who is only 18 months old, but will be travelling with his parents to the USA in the summer and he LOVES In the Night Garden, so this little DVD player will keep him happily occupied on the very long flights from England to California. It is very light, easy to use, and seems to just fit perfectly into a small space! What more could one want? The price was reasonable. Very happy all around!

Sony CFDS01CD Radio Recorder

I bought this radio recorder for a friend who is partially sighted. It's perfect, the buttons are big and it's very easy to use at an affordable price.

sony HCB108 speaker phone

researched other products & reviews.Good value. Cheapest was for silver version.Clips firmly onto visor. Works well with sony ericsson W810i,although this is not listed on sony's web site. Volume level good in toyota. clear voice reception & transmission, easy to use. charge is lasting at least two weeks with low usage.Comes with car charger but I use House mains charger adapter for o/night charging as coiled cable can distract.Needs a long first charge 10 hours. Not sure if unit is operational during charging.
Also works well out of car/office /home. no good for confidential calls, as all can hear conversation.

Great bluetooth features

Bought this over 2 months ago and have now seen enough of it to give it an appraisal. The unit is well made as would be expected from Sony and is a stylish bit of kit. Sound is top notch running over standard car speakers, but the radio reception could be better (this may be down to my car's antenna). Bluetooth hands free function works really well and I'm told the mic is still very clear even at speed. Overall, very happy with this item.

Not bad. Not good either.

My main reason for buying this item was for the headphone connection so that I could listen to music without using up all of my battery. The sound was terribly distorted and unlistenable.

Having said that, this is advertised as an in-car charger and it does just that. The Sony Ericsson logo even lights up to show when the phone is charging. It works perfectly as a charger.

So, if you just want to use it as a charger, it's great. But if you want to be able to plug in a MP3-tape adapter while charging, then don't bother buying this.

Good piece of kit, despite a few flaws

I bought this almost a year ago. Just been looking through my amazon purchases and found I had not reviewed it. Looking at the description, the first thing that jumps out to me is that I have not found a front USB on it. The controls for selecting the music from the iPod are really long winded, especially if like me you have thousands of songs on there. You have a choice of sorting by album, artist or playlist. These are in alphabetical order so if you have something in the middle it can take ages. I also find that it locks up occasionally and I have to disconnect and reconnect the iPod which can be a pain. On the plus side, sound quality is as good as you would expect from something much more expensive, as are all the other functions. For the money, it is a powerful unit with many features not normally found on similarly priced units. The IR remote control would also be very useful if you wanted to install this in a caravan or boat, or even mount it somewhere concealed in a classic car where it might look out of place if it were in vision.

Flawless product

Does what its ment to do. Good build quility as with most sony products but would have been better if it was smaller. Good dilivery.

Very good but a couple of quirks...

Jonah, you don't need the remote to change the clock - you can simply press and hold down the scrollbar and then you can change the clock from there. Amongst other things.
I've just installed this and it is a great piece of kit - but you may want to roll some high end frequencies off as the default flat EQ setting is SERIOUSLY bright - at least in an Audi. I heard that Sony had been working on a way to compensate for some of the frequency losses inherent in MP3 encoding. I have a similar unit in my other car (a 2006 model without USB) and it is much less bright so maybe this could be a result of this development.
Another thing I've discovered with the USB functionality - the machine will read folders (and even tracks within them) in the order you created them onto the USB drive, regardless of the way you label them. Unless the"order of creation" is the same order that you want them read you may have to copy them back to your computer and then back onto the drive in your preferred (usually alphabetical) order. Hope that's clear!

Great Product-More than satisfied

I have previously bought two DVD players elsewhere but was rather disappointed especialy with the sound and video quality.

This most elegant looking DVD player from Sony certainly did not disappoint me. To be honest, I bought it as a present to my grandson but after trying out the product I decided to keep it for myself-shame on me !.

I like the look of the DVD player.It looks like a quality PC Notebook.It looks,feels and performs as a quality product. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a well built,elegant looking performer.

Sony car cd/md stereo remote control

A handy sized slim light remote control that works on several different car stereo models of Sony cd/md car stereos/changers. Mine is a Sony minidisc car stereo MDX-CA790X.I bought this remote as it easy to use to control your car stereo whilst driving.You don't have to take your eyes off the road while skipping or scanning through tracks.The buttons have a nice easy layout and are well spaced out so that you don't accidentally press two at the same time.The remote control has all the main functions that you need to use - volume up/down,skip forward/ back,scan forward/back,menu,list,sound,enter,mute(att),mode,off and display buttons.You can also control the bass,treble, balance and fader as well as the radio search,scan and presets.The only function the remote cannot do is switch your unit on.This has to be done manually by hand.Other than that it is excellent value for the price with free delivery thrown in.I have had quotes of up to £50 from hifi/car stereo shops.It is not like tv/hifi remote controls where some battery slots can come off easily.It has a small pull/push slot on the back(you will need good fingernails to prize open)that takes one 'cell' type CR2025 battery which when pushed in will very firmly secure the battery.If you have a suitable car cd/md stereo I fully recommend this remote control unit.You will not be disappointed.

Great Radio/CD/bluetooth but poor Ipod control

The Cd and Radio functionality are what I expected and great. The controls and function switches are positive and feel solid. The bluetooth connectivity to my samsung SG800 works and the microphone is acceptable. I have it in an elderly MX5 that is noisy and people can hear what I am saying even with the hood down. Marry the phone and the radio and it connects when the engine and radio turn on and off when I get out the car. One word of warning, if you are sitting in your car with the engine off, and ignition on and chatting on the phone and then start the car, the radio turns off momentarily and cuts you off. No major issue though.

I have the optional Ipod doo-hickey (AX110IP) to connect the radio to my Ipod. Sounded great and my expectations were high; no more lose CD's rattling around in the car. Problem is the scrolling through the music (80Gb) is painful, you can choose Artist, Albums or playlists. Then you have to scroll one by one through them. (1 or so seconds per artist/album) The player also always starts with the first album alphabeticaly and plays track 001. It does not take long before you hate that track. Playlists or the shuffle tracks is the way forward. Moving or holding the selector arm down makes no difference and the manual is nonexistant for the Ipod bit. I am also thinking of getting a 2GB ipod shuffle so I can put my"driving" music on it and not have the other stuff. Hence the 4 stars..... Oh yes the sound is full and good through standard issue Mazda speakers!

I bought this for my son with the Ipod connection but this stereo is not compatible with the Ipod connection that Amazon suggests
it has no slot for an ipod this only works for regular USB devices if you are buying for Ipod connectivity this is the wrong choice

Apart from that it has great sound quality and excellent features.

Good but could be improved

Although the adapter works perfectly with great sound quality it does not charge a 2nd Gen Ipod Touch. There is also the difficulty of scrolling through numerous tracks to reach your desired song as there is no search function. I feel that with a search or list menu the 110ip could be greatly improved.
