The Best Earphones I Ever Owned

These earphones, the sound quality is immense. They fit nicely in my ears, very comfortable, snug fit. The pouch that comes with it is pretty useless though, not really good for neck-chain style line.

I got these for a decent price I think they're too expensive at this moment so probably not worth the money, but they're awesome. It's too bad I lost them.

I have used these headphones at night, when everyone else is asleep, I find they are comfortable to wear and the audio is excellent. Good value for the money.

I was pleased with the sale of the product. However, I dislike these headphones because the sound through them is very tinny. The only thing I like about them is that they dont fall out my ears.

Brilliant

So pleased with this and the price. Proper Sony battery. It went into my Sony W170 great. I wanted a second battery for a spare. This one is even better than the one I got with my camera because it has a countdown timer on it. Very pleased with purchase.

Two very satisfied customers

This is the second pair of these headphones I have purchased, the first pair were for my wife who has difficulty finding headphones that she can get along with.
When her daughter called on us and offered to help in the garden, I thought it would help pass the time on the mundane jobs if she used the personal radio which was connected to Sony MDR-AS30G headphones, well she thought they were terrific so we bought her a pair for her birthday and she was delighted.

I listen uniquely to podcasts on my nano 2nd G, and use these particular earphones while I walk my small dog - ie in all weathers. The speach/sound is great for my needs, but since I'm not an audio nerd, I'm no reference.

The cable is long so it goes inside my clothes to the pocket of my slacks, yes, people still wear slacks. The pink stalks on the earpieces are curved, so it's easy to know which is left or right (the L and the R are subtly marked) and they sit firmly in my ears, although beware, everyone's ears are different...

Sony Battery Review

Really great - extends my shooting capability so I don't run out of power when I need it most. It's light and easy to carry and I don't have to take a mains charger around with me.

Deserves no stars

I brought these headphones years ago from a different retailer. I found the wire too short to wear on the treadmill and after a few days they stopped working so I had to take them back.

Don't recommend, in fact stay well away!

Fits perfectly

Purchased this for my dad to go along with his new compact Sony cybershot. It has room for spare batteries and memory card in one compartment and the camera in another. It's sturdy, lightweight and genuine Sony without being too expensive.

Can't really falty it.

Not much to say about the batteries (I bought two). However, I got them in no time and the seller even sent me a note thanking me for buying from them. Very satisfying!

Good Noise Cancelling Headphones

I bought these to use on a long haul flight as I was fed up of not being able to hear the movies on planes with all the background noise. The noise cancelling has obviously been tuned for aircraft noise as it worked well and the inflight movies were very clear, in fact I had to turn the volume down. The phones fold up quite neatly making them more portable and the case they come in is quite robust, the adaptor for the plane socket comes with the phones which is good.

Only negatives really are that its a shame they didn't put a volume control inline with the mute function. Also, to keep them light and portable the strap is made from quite thin plastic, you do feel like you must be careful with them as they don't seem too robust. The other thing is that the noise cancelling only really works well with aircraft noise, when I tried the phones out with other background noise at home, tv etc. it didn't make much difference, but for air travel, they're good.

These things caused me all sorts of problems. First, they hurt your ears because they're the type which have pads that press against your ears rather than being against your skull with the ears inside a cavity. . They left me with mild tinitis. They broke when I knocked them off a chair (a distance of 18 inches onto a carpeted flor). It's probably a good thing as they would have ruined my ears had I gone on using them. They look cool that's about all you can say for them.

The best of the best

In order to test these headphones before I bought them I went to my local Apple Store, they had the Bose Quiet Comfort 3's, Quite Comfort 15's and these the Sony NC500D's.

The Apple Store is always a noisy place, loads of people + background music.

First the QC3's - Before I tried them I thought that these would be my favourite, they are a brand that is clearly linked to top of the range performance and quality and I liked the style. However, when I tried them on I found them really uncomfortable. The only way I can describe them is that although they cancelled a lot of the noise I still felt like I could feel the noise! Think of it like this, if I go into a loud environment like a night club or if you have every experienced concord taking off at Heathrow, you often don't so much as hear noise but you can feel it battering your ear drums. When I wore these headphones I could still feel my ear drums flexing, in fact it felt worse! My wife describe it like someone trying to stick a straw down your ear to suck out the innards. Not to mention that I could still hear quite a lot.

Second the QC15's. Initially I wasn't as keen on these as the QC 3's but again as they were Bose I thought they would be amazing. Although these cover the entire ear the noise cancellation was almost the same as the QC3's. Although they were more comfortable! they just didn't work well enough.

Finally, these the NC500D's... Excellent, very very comfortable and far (far...far) better noise cancelling performance than either Bose. When I put these on I really noticed just how noisy the store was! The sound cancelling quality was excellent and music play back was also stunning. I immediately wanted these!

So why only 4 instead of 5 stars, well I don't think the 99% is an accurate figure! When they were switched on without playing music, they didn't completely cancel out the background noise I could still hear voices although they were significantly reduced and having said that, when I was listening to music, even at a low level I couldn't hear anything else but the music. I could easily give 5 star's, I do love them...

Rubbish

This battery only had 50 minutes of charge. Got a replacement which only held 30 minutes of charge!! Avoid these cheap batteries.

Very good and simple as you like

very happy with my purchase which i use with the iphone 4. I wanted these for ages but held back due to the volume control issues with the iphone, but ios4 fixed that top quality.

Sound is good but not brilliant, as expected. not as loud as wired headphone either but load enough. all call features also work which i wasn't expecting with it being a cross of manufacture. Charge time is minimal and I get 4 hours music from a charge, switching off in between.

I would recommend this product.

This Headphone is not genuine. If you wants to use this with ur phone then i would not recommend because the extension jack does not work properly. It is cheap headphone and rubbish but if u wants to use this headphone with ipod or with something else then u can buy this because i m using this with my laptop but don't buy if u want to use this with ur phone.

Fantastic..

Absolute great product..better than all others I have tried for the Gym. Ideal for running as well as doing weights as you can move the position of the head band which with other brands are at the back of the neck and get in the way when you use benches etc.. a fantastic product highly recommended you will not be disappointed. Arrived weeks earlier than estimated through amazon..ace

Great headphones

These do just what they say. They are comfortable to wear; I like headphones with a headband as conventional in-ear phones do not fit in my ears. The volume control is very useful as myself and my husband like different volumes. Not sure how good they would be for serious music lovers; I mainly use them for listening to TV/DVDs when children are asleep and we don't want to disturb them or our in-laws. I would recommend these to anyone who wants a reasonably priced set of headphones with volume control.

It's a great player

This player is a great piece of kit. BUT when I very first received it I was more than a little worried. It wouldn't load nevermind play any of my discs. Having said that, I left it alone for 24 hrs and since then its been perfect. The sound quality, in stereo and mono, is great. The playback options give you lot of scope and the controls are very easy and fuctional to use.
