Sony never disappoint.

As always, Sony never fails to bring quality sound and design in a compact pair of headphones. After my original in-ear headphones which came with my Sony NWZ-A816 broke after a few months of use (the extension cable didnt last and there are no suitable replacements ANYWHERE!!!) i bought a pair of Philips SHE 5800s which were on the whole, very disappointing. Good sound but 'perfect fit'? No chance.

So I looked for some SONY earphones to step up to the plate and decided to try this number as it looked very similar to my previous Sony ones - only difference is that these are not noiseblocking as the Sony NWZ-A816's; they have no rubber ear-pieces. This didnt deter me and I went through to buy it and upon recieving it - I was slightly disappointed in the sound quality. I put it down to me being used to powerful in-ear sound from the NWZ-A816's, but within a few minutes I got used to this sound from these MDR-ED12's. Like all other Sony products, sound quality is good, bass is a little weak but can be boosted with various settings from your mp3 player so that is good. And the best thing? THEY DONT FALL OUT! SUCCESS!

In short, a step down from powerful in ear sound, but great nonetheless.

Good folding headphones

Sony have made folding headphones like this for some years and this model is, at the time of purchase, the current model.

They sound OK for the price and are fairly robust, which is what I had expected from this product.

The plug makes good contact on all the sockets I've tried it on.

If you have a portable audio device which needs some compact economic headphones try these.

Cover/tri-fold Sony Ebook Reader

I chose this cover because my existing two fold cover - whilst in my handbag - was letting dust into my Ebook reader. The problem has been solved, and I am therefore happy, but...reading the Ebook with the cover on is a little tricky. I bend both left and right sides behind the Ebook and hold it as I would a one page novel bent over. A little bit bulky.
On the whole I am very satisfied and wouldn't change the cover now as it serves the purpose for which I bought it, but worth noting before you buy.

clever bit of Kit

stops my phone from slipping when placed on a table..grips in my pocket so extra secure.

Disappointing...

I bought these over a fortnight ago but despite trying to give them a fair go over the last two or so weeks, I'm already looking at reinvesting in another set of earphones.

The clip doesn't seem to do anything at all apart from loosely hang over the top of your ear. Okay, so it might be made of soft rubber but it doesn't really conform to your ear shape and pretty much stays in it's preformed state. Anyone used to the sound quality of inner earphones will also be disappointed with the level on these as they sit half in, half out of your ears resulting in a fair bit of sound leakage. As such, the sound is tinny and bass is limited due to the way they fit. You can of course compensate by turning up the volume but excess sound isn't the same as quality sound and I then become acutely conscious that I might be annoying bystanders and fellow passengers.

I bought these from HMV for nearly £15, so much dearer than off Amazon and can't help but feel my money would have been much better spent elsewhere on the inner ear kind.

A good traveling companion

The Sony ICF-SW35 is a very good radio with plenty of features. Compared to it's ancesters like the ICF-SW2001 and later ICF-SW2002 I find the SW-35 having plenty of memories. Besides listening to (short wave) radio I use the radio as a alarm clock as well. The A memory for me and the B memory for my wife, that makes 52 memories in totall. There only two things missing: ssb capabilities and suffient shortwave radio stations (in Western Europe that is), the latter being out of Sony's control ofcourse.
It surprises me that the SW-35 is more expensive than the ICF-SW7600 which ofcourse is the real follow-up to the ICF-SW2001/2002. Ironicly back then in the 1980's there were far more shortwave transmissions while the radios had up to 10 memories locations. I'm still considering the SW7600 for it's too is a very good radio. Mine SW-35 will be 5 years this summer and still no malfunctions!!

I used to use a pair of old but expensive head phones and decided I needed a smaller pair for the gym as I looked a nerd with the old ones. I was ready to accept less quality of sound but these are even better than the old ones. They fold in and out easily if you look what you're doing and fit in the supplied case with no bother. Fantastic.

Fabulous

This product is amazing. In Asia, its selling for more than half of the price. Grab it as fast as you can! (:

AMAZING

If you have a Walkman phone this is WORTH GETTING. The screen is amazing. If you buy this for a w580i it may take a couple of seconds to register but then it is quicker. screen is clear and works well and is just an amazing piece of kit. Came in an official Sony box.

Don't waste your money

I bought this from a high-street retailer for a quarter of the price (they were clearing stock for the new range of readers), and still felt I had been cheated. This cover appears to have been designed by someone who has never seen a real Sony Reader as it is so ill fitting it feels like it had been designed for something completely different. The cover does not sit comfortably against the device, tending to fan-out like an over-stuffed sandwich and unlike the original supplied cover it does not have the satisfying magnetic click to hold it together. A complete waste of money.

Sony"M" Series Battery Charger

Having searched everywhere for one of these chargers, which in my opinion, should have been supplied with the camera, I was thrilled to have found one on Amazon. It works great, and allows me to charge one battery whilst I'm off filming with the camera. Not only that, you can use the charger as a spare power supply for the camera! Freedom at last... A must have for any"M" Series battery video camera. Comes complete with all the required cables. Best value for money this year!

Really good sound if you use the little amplifier that comes with them

These headphones sound really good, very detailed, and they have a great soundstage. Unlike other headphones, the sound seems to be in front of me and around my head, not in the back of my head. Just make sure to use the little amplifier that comes with them, it makes all the difference for sound quality. At first I thought I would not need it, because my stereo could drive the headphones loud enough, but they really sound much better once the little amplifier is added, much richer and fuller (a dedicated headphone amp might be even better, but I don't own one). Same effect when plugged into my computer, the amplifier really improves the sound quality of these headphones.

Why not five stars? They get a little uncomfortable after long listening sessions, and everyone around you also has to listen to your music, because they are absolutely open. Apart from that, they are great.

Good while they lasted and not for the tall

These lasted about a year till the rubber ear arms started coming off but where good while they lasted. Sound good, look good, comfortable. The wire zipping away is great and saves a lot of tangles.

Word of warring not for tall people with deep pockets as the cord isn't very long.
