Review for SONY MDRJ20WHITE Stereo Headphones [Electronics]:
Utterly useless for running with - the in ear part is too big and has too smooth a surface so you will be forever pushing them back in. In addition, the cable is the asymetric design with the left side shorter so any kind of movement seems to be enough to unseat them.

Keep very, very still...
Very nice looking, as usual with Sony. Sound is great if you can seat them in your ears properly, and if you can do that you are likely a strange looking fellow ;)Utterly useless for running with - the in ear part is too big and has too smooth a surface so you will be forever pushing them back in. Review for Sony MDR-G74SLS Street Style Headphones:
Only down side is the design. They are bulky and unattractive, and the head band extends so far out the back that you cannot use them easily on the train or if you;re doing sit ups in the gym. The tangle-free wire works well, but it frays after a while and then the wire starts poking through and you end up with a lumpy wire which won't hang straight. This really annoyed me and I ended up having tape all over mine to stop the wire poking out! However, having the ability to pull the wire apart half way along it's length was very useful. I also like the way they fold as it makes life much easier when you wear them on your way to a night out.
Overall - some great ideas and innovative design let down by a few quirks. I would buy some more (my last pair broke finally after I they got soaked in sea water) but the price is still very high despite the fact they've been out for a few years. This shows that they are still in demand. Unfortunately lots of places have stoppped stocking these now, so grab them while you can!

Good sounds - annoying lead though
These phones sound brilliant, and have a much larger frequency response range than many of their contempories. They're very loud and overall sound is excellent!Only down side is the design. Review for Sony MDR-NC50 Noise Cancelling Headphones:
I'm returning these as faulty. I was going to ask for a replacement but, reading numerous other poor reviews, I can only conclude they are not fit for purpose as they suffer from a severe design flaw.

Don't waste your time ... move along and buy something else ...
I bought these headphones with high hopes. However, upon finding a new AAA battery (none is included in the box), my hopes were shattered -a headache inducing very low frequency rumble coming from both earpieces. The volume of the rumble seems to be highly dependent on how the headphones sit on your head, whether you're moving, which direction you're facing and, in over two hours of trying, I only got a comfortable noise-free fit for 2 minutes.I'm returning these as faulty. I was going to ask for a replacement but, reading numerous other poor reviews, I can only conclude they are not fit for purpose as they suffer from a severe design flaw.

Review for SONY PSP 2 Slim Lite 2000 3000 Replacment internal battery:
Not the original.
Just a caution... these may be produced by Sony (I'm hoping that's the case as they are labelled so) but they are lower grade substitutes of the battery shipped with the PSP slim and whereas with the original Sony batteries you will be warned of a low battery status and your current activity can be saved by sleep mode or you can plug in, when these ones are drained you will often just be cut off. This also seems to happen well before the stated battery life.As a cheap replacement or backup, however, they fit the bill.

Works with new ipod touch 3g
Bought these on amazon couple of days ago. Have seen these headphones on some websites at £99.99! Thought I'd snap up a bargain and am well pleased with them. I took a punt cause I couldn't find any info on whether they worked with the new ipod touch (released September 09). Turns out they work perfectly. Very pleased. Hate having wires trailing out of my pockets. Now I can walk along with itouch in my bag and no wires coming out (except for those around your neck of course!). Would recommend these to anyone.115
Review for Sony CKLNWA800B - Leather Case For Alpha MP3 - Black:
In a bizarre decision, the designers built the slot on the bottom of the case thus leaving the bottom of the Walkman exposed. Personally I would rather have small cut outs for the charger slot and headphone socket and have the A818 slide from the top of the case.
Overall I am happy with the case. It adequately protects the Walkman from light damages. The downside is it doubles the thickness of the Walkman.

Review for Sony CKLNWA800B - Leather Case For Alpha MP3 - Black:
Great case
The leather case is very well made and thick thus providing significant protection to my A818. The controls are all covered by leather so it isn't as easy to control the A818. The upside is because of the thickness and the flap, I did not have to use the hold function on the A818, as the keys are not easily depressed. In a bizarre decision, the designers built the slot on the bottom of the case thus leaving the bottom of the Walkman exposed. Review for Sony MDR-EX35LP Earphones (Black):
Checking out AMAZON reviews I was on the fence for either these (in black) or the Sennheiser CX300. There is a concerning number of reviews on the SENNHEISER complaining about either low material durability and/or interference noises form the cables touching either clothes or surfaces. Since, in my case, the main cable was going to be in constant contact with my desk I decided not to risk it. And did not regret it for a moment.
The SONYs come with three sizes of hardened silicone ear-cones (medium is the one pre-installed) and they work fine in reducing external noise. You will be able to follow a conversation if muted but once the sound is working do not expect to be able to ...multitask (eg: listening to music and holding a conversation with your wife).
They fit easily and I did not experience any discomfort if used for long periods of time.
I am no extreme audiophile but the sound is comparable to my 2+1 set of Logitech Z-2300. The later is an important detail because they come with a remote volume control which has an earphones outlet. Since the total cable length is somewhat less than 4ft (1.2m), I would not be able to use them for my PC which stands on the floor if not for this remote.
The earphones are well built and so far experienced neither friction interference nor static discharges.
My only gripes:
- the earbuds cables are not of the around-the-neck type. I prefer those better because you can take them off and still keep them hanging around your neck without fishing for them later.
- the cable is thin but not flimsy. However, this is not true for the jack. It is remarkably smaller and harder to pull out than the older models I was used to.
Other than that,
RECOMMENDED.

SONY DELIVERS
I was in search for a pair of cheap noise-reducing earphones to use for gaming or music on my PC. I wanted something lightweight and unobstructive and not too expensive. Review for Sony MDR-G54LPS Street Style Headphones:

Replaced all of my earphones with these!
I only write this review as there is no review existing for these earphones, which I find shocking as they are the best pair I have owned!I use earphones a lot of the day, either when working or walking the dogs. A good nine hours a day. I have a pair of MDR-E818 which I thought were okay, uncomfortable after a little while, but sound okay.
I required a second pair for listening to music at work. Reading reviews I ended up purchasing a pair of Sennheiser CX300 which sound great, are not very comfortable, but the major drawback is that if you move the cable acts like a stethascope and totally ruins the good sound quality!!
Annoyed I just went and bought a pair of MDR-E755 from Sainsbury's and they are awesome. So comfortable all day, and under a beanie hat when walking the dogs in the Winter (when the MDR-E818 and CX300 most certainly are not). Plus they sound far better than the 818s, much more punchy base, I was actually shocked by just how much better than the MDR-E818 they are. We are not talking headphone sound range here, I am comparing"in ear" earphones, I have a few over-priced audiophile headphones that are of course much deeper in their range, but they are very very good. Large headphones are not practical for wearing under beanies in comfort and also not very professional in an office.
I now have a pair at work, and a pair to walk the dogs, they are perfect in my opinion. Comfort, sound quality, and external noise muting level which is not much so my colleagues do not need to raise their voices to draw my attention, and I won't get run over!
