I've tried lots of different brands of discs over the last few years, but for me, Sony discs lead the way for stability, endurance and compatibility. In the family, we use a number of different brands of dvd player, and not all brands play all discs, but this problem has ceased since we switched to using Sony discs (this review also applies to RW discs). I would recommend this brand, even though it is alittle more expensive, it is worth paying more for reliability.

Probably very good - but NOT printable!
I chose these CDRs because the technical details say they are printable - but sadly they are not. I'm sure they are perfectly good but they don't fit the Amazon description so back they go!27

Excellent tapes and a free bag
I have already reviewed the tapes elsewhere on this site but I do think it is worth mentioning that the free carry case is a small black pouch type bag capable of holding four Mini-DV tapes. Still a worthwhile freebie to an already excellent product.29

I like Sony, they do the job with no problems. What more can I say. If you want cheaper, you can probably find cheaper. If you want something reliable with high quality buy these.33

So Slow
I do not usually have a problem with burning DVDs with my 12x drive and Roxio software nor do I see many coasters but these are so slow maximum 6x and speed up and down and had a coaster just four discs into my large backup project. I have rebooted twice but it's not a locked memory problem or anything on my computer, it's poor discs.I will stick with Verbatim and had also been using TDK which were great until they went blue and I could not read the writing!

Camera Tapes, what can you say?
Have now used a number of these Sony tapes and find them totally reliable. A nice brand to go for, and with this you know that if you archive your camera tapes you can rely on them still be their and useable in years to come. A bit pricy, but no more than the competition.40
Th pinnacle of portable audio
HiMD is perfect for portable audio. The sound quality is excellent, with even the cheaper players beating any MP3 player produced to date. Less susceptible to shocks or drops than HD players & with removable batteries they last a LOT longer than your average iPod. The comparatively lower capacity can be a downside but what good is it to have all your music with you when it all sounds rubbish because it's being played on sub-standard equipment???
