Review for Sony KDL-19L4000 19" Widescreen BRAVIA HD Ready LCD TV - with Freeview:
Delivered and installed four days later. Set up a doddle (once I put in the cabling), just read the instructions and press the buttons, even sorted them into logical order, BBC1, 2, ITV1, Channel 4, Five and the rest. Amazing picture, good features and Freeview. In our area an enormous bonus (according to the BBC [who should know] not liable until 2012). Hung on the wall, Sunday lie in's will never be the same, a really good piece of kit. There may be cheaper out there but maybe not better. Next planned buy an upscalable DVD.

The new television
So 'needed' a television for the bedroom. Don't ask why. Looked around Curries, liked the Bravia, right size not to heavy, good features, very expensive and not in stock, same at the Sony Centre. Plan 'B' look on the net, Amazon first stop. Very good price, about £70 under anybody on the high street, in stock and free delivery.Delivered and installed four days later. Set up a doddle (once I put in the cabling), just read the instructions and press the buttons, even sorted them into logical order, BBC1, 2, ITV1, Channel 4, Five and the rest. The Best Tv & Picture I've Ever Seen
An avid fan of home cinema and What Hifi reader. Spent ages choosing a new tv, reading reviews and blogs etc and i LOVE this one. The picture is just awesome. 200hz screen is brillinat for sports or fast moving pictures with NO hint of blurring. The sound from the speakers is far better than other screens at this price. The USB input to display photo's etc is great and the xbar set up is so easy. The remote is intuitive and is back lit for when watching movies in the dark. My PS3 looks fantastic on it as does any DVD or any HD content icluding SKY HD whichs looks superb. I could go on forever, it is a great set. Use the THX set up disc from any Star Wars DVD to tweek the settings and you'll have a superb TV.7

Review for Sony KDL-32V4000 - 32" Widescreen HD Ready Bravia LCD TV - With Freeview:
Plugged it in, connected the aerial and turned in on. The setup was really easy and the picture looked fab, for 5 minutes, then the screen developed a fault with vertical multi-coloured bars.
Turned it off and left it for 30 minutes then tried again. OK for 5 minutes then the dreaded multi-coloured bars.
In fairness, the supplier took it back the same day, tested it and said there was a problem and gave my money back - thanks.
So, it was a good TV for 5 minutes! Decided to buy a Mac computer and watch TV on the Apple instead!

Might be good - don't know
The TV arrived from a returned / refurbished supplier. Out of the box everything was OK. Could tell that the TV had been out of the box and re-packaged but the TV itself was in excellent physical nick.Plugged it in, connected the aerial and turned in on. Sony tried too hard.
I bought this model for my wife's 34th birthday. We keep it on the 4th floor at the top and it looks really sexy. But there is a a big but. The picture keeps freezing, it can't keep up with the resolution. Sony has just concentrated on the size not the quality. I would much preffer a 32" Samsung instead of a good-looking 55" Sony. Very bad response time aswell, wich is a real let down for the wii and ps3 that my kids have got. not reccomended. also Sony were rude and impatient with me on the phone. 2/5 4/1015

Review for Sony KDL32S3000 - 32'' Widescreen Bravia HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview:
I probably spent more than six months eyeing up different TVs. This would have been my first LCD, and I was intending to get the best possible for my money. Not knowing anything about HD, and not wanting to, I just basically wanted to get a nicely sized TV with the best picture quality I could find, and plug a DVD player into it. That's it, no ifs, ands, or buts. I specifically noticed that many reviewers informed that the set is easy to get going, and that it literally is a no-brainer with regards to the picture quality and reliability.
After visiting local stores to gawp at the vibrant colours that all the Bravias offered, stand in amazement at the incredibly shiny piano black Samsungs, and vomit uncontrollably at just how god awful Phillips efforts were, I just couldn't find anything that I didn't like about the Bravias. I was of course, drawn to the 32S3000 due to the reviews on Amazon.co.uk. I'm naturally one of those people that has to make sure that the item has exactly what I want before purchasing. If you spend as much time watching DVDs as I do, you really need to make sure you will be satisfied.
After some more investigations, I found a bundle price that I just couldn't pass up. The bundle contained the 32S3000, one majorly sexy glass stand, and the miracle-worker Sony DVP-NS78 DVD player with upscaling to 1080p. Within minutes of seeing this offer, the items were in the boot of my car on their way to a new home.
As the other reviews say, this TV is an absolute wonder to set up. It takes literally a couple of minutes to get past the initial start up, and from then on you're pretty much sorted. Seeing as I'm in Ireland, I can't receive any freeview channels, so unfortunately, I'm unable to comment on this feature. Regardless, I never watch TV, so even if I had freeview it probably would go unused. Okay, off goes the TV again, better sort out my DVD player.
Once I mopped up all the drool, and plugged in my wondrous DVP-NS78, in went"Touching The Void". The picture settings were set as"Vivid" by default, and let me tell you, they were vivid as vivid can be. There are a lot of moving shots in"Touching The Void", panning slowly across the mountains was so clear it made me dizzy. The motion of these shots was very smooth, regardless of the fact that this TV doesn't have 100hz. After watching lots of different DVDs on this set, I noticed that the"Vivid" setting, although very impressive, was not great with regards to darker areas. For example, if you watch"American History X", all the black and white sections are a little off. The whites are too white and the darks are too dark.
Of course, like anything, you adjust and adjust until you eventually get that sweet spot. I've found the perfect settings for me, and I'm sure everybody else that owns this TV has as well, as there is so much tweaking available that you can really just get what you need from it.
I was absolutely blown away by this TV, it simply astonished me as to how clear the picture is, and how amazing the colours are. I apologise for the lack of comments on games consoles and Blu-Ray/HD DVD, but I have no interest in gaming, and I absolutely despise the idea of my 300 strong DVD collection becoming redundant in a few years when Blu-Ray/HD DVD fully take over. (Although they practically have already).

Awesomely Awesome Awesomeness
I'd just like to start off by thanking each reviewer of this item prior to me, as you all really gave me the nudge to buy the item. Much more honest than the"Oh, of course, I have one of these at home myself" speech from a sales person in a store. I was looking for customer's opinions on the item......boy did I find them. When I bought mine in March this year, it must have been the most favoured TV on Amazon.co.uk.I probably spent more than six months eyeing up different TVs. This would have been my first LCD, and I was intending to get the best possible for my money. A superb Sony TV
This TV is absolutely excellent. The picture is brilliant when connected to an HD source and freeview is pretty good too.The sound is very good - with other TVs I have often experienced a problem of speech not being very clear. Not so with this TV.
The settings don't need too much fiddling around with and the User Interface is very simple and easy to use. Furthermore, it looks really nice but gets quite dusty!
This TV is the perfect addition to a bedroom or small living room. This is my first Sony TV and I'm glad I bought it.
