The max recording times in LP mode is 130 hours & 25 minutes or 29 hours & 45 minutes in HQ mode. The voice recorder works perfectly and the desktop software supplied is more than up to the job.
You can convert voice recording to MP3 files at the touch of a button or automatically should wish to share the files with others which is a nice feature. The unit is also certified for use with Dragon Naturally Speaking, which is helpful.
FM Radio works very well, overall a nice set of features for the money, but the build quality isn't perfect, as the back feels a little tacky and cheap, but considering the price and capabilities it's well worth every penny.

Very good for the money - 256mb memory not 64mb

If you need a dictaphone....
do not buy this one. I thought that there was simply a fault on the one that I had received, but having now had a replacement I realise that they are just useless. They are unfit for recording anything as there is constant, appalling background noise. I have used a Sony previously and thought that this would be good enough for my language studies. However I shall definitely buy a digital one instead this time.56

Extremely small and easy to use - the software that comes with it is simple and allows you to organise the sound files that are created. However, the case does feel a bit plasticy, which I can live with, but contact with it during recording is picked up by the microphone and reduces the clarity/quality of the recording. In fact, the sound quality in general is a bit 'tinny'. My needs are very basic so this is not a major issue for me, but it is something to be aware of.57

Absolutely awful. Background hiss from the tape is louder than the recorded sound. I use a micro-tape recorder at work all day, so know how they should function. This one is not fit for purpose, so I will be returning it to Amazon for a refund, and will replace it with a digital voice recorder with good reviews.58

Bought this for my son as he had to do some interviews as part of his university course. Fast delivery and reasonable pricing. He just left recorder on table and questioned away no problem for all his interviews easy to set up and use. The only slight grumble was there did not seem (although we may not have worked it out properly) to be anyway to increase the sensitivity of the microphone when some people came into the room we were using and the background noise went up. Best value for money digital recorder I have seen. It's light weight makes it easy to carry around, and the sound quality is all you could ask for. It is also robust enough to survive less than delicate handling. However, this is not an instrument for those with large or clumsy fingers: the buttons, especially the erase button, are recessed and not particularly easy to use. I bought my Icd-B300 from Amazon well over a year ago, and battery life is so impressive that I have not yet seen the need to buy rechargeables. The fact that it still features on this site must be a credit to its performance.
